To close fashion week, there was the hotly anticipated finale show and as promised, Errol Arendz made his long awaited return to the runway alongside Craig Port (who showed a menswear collection, titled “Fangbangers”) . The show was a visual sensation and everywhere you looked, there was someone worth knowing. I spotted Edith Venter, the Motsepes (of course) and Lady Kitty Spencer. When the day comes (and it will “,) and I’m a lady of means – Errol Arendz creations WILL grace this body. Errol started things off with ‘Love Sucks’ and this part of the collection was made of rock chic garments accessorized with little devil horns. Black figure hugging dresses, faux fur abounded, the lurex on the stockings was distressed and there was a wool biker jacket – all paying homage to the ‘bad girl’.
The second segment of the show was called, "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and the lady had a high beehive and accentuated cat eyes. I adore the fitted dress (wool I think), with square-exaggerated shoulders. Those seams closed with hooks & eyes – sexy....
There was also another one in velvet with some faux fur trimming. Viva la Arendz!!!
